What power supply should I buy?

Always add at least 20% headroom: Recommended supply = total wattage × 1.2. Example: 10 m of SMD 2835 60LED/m at 7.2 W/m = 72 W → use a 100 W driver (not a 72 W one), so the driver runs cooler and lasts longer.

When do I need to parallel-connect my strips?

As a rule of thumb: 12V strips over 5 m, 24V strips over 10 m and 48V strips over 15 m should be fed from both ends (parallel runs) to avoid visible brightness drop at the far end. ArrayStar recommends planning the feed layout before install.

Why is my COB strip drawing more power than the label says?

Power per meter varies with CRI (90+ / 95+ / 98+) and CCT. High-CRI COB strips can draw 10–20% more than the base spec. Check the datasheet of the exact SKU or ask us to confirm your batch's real W/m.

Can I use one driver for several strips?

Yes, if total wattage stays within the driver's rated power and you respect the parallel rule. Keep 20% headroom and use the correct wire gauge for the total current.
