The 5050 LED strip uses 5.0 x 5.0 mm SMD packages, larger and brighter than the common 2835 or 3528. Each 5050 package can hold one, three (RGB) or four (RGBW) diodes, so the same footprint gives you single-color white, full-color RGB or RGBW with a dedicated white channel. It is the go-to strip when you need high output or color-changing light on a wider 10 mm board.
5050 strips are widely used for cove and ceiling accent lighting, bar and restaurant ambiance, retail and shelf displays, sign and channel-letter backlighting, media walls, outdoor landscape and architectural outlines, and projects that switch between color scenes and neutral white.
A single 5050 LED is brighter than a 2835, but total strip brightness depends on LEDs per metre and watts. The 5050's real advantage is RGB/RGBW color in one package; 2835 is the efficient, low-cost choice for single-color white.
Yes. Cut at the marked pads, every 100 mm on the 60 LEDs/m version, and join with solder or matching 4-/5-pin connectors. Soldering gives the most reliable contact.
Add the W/m over your length, then size the 24V driver with about 20% headroom. For example 5 m at 14.4 W/m draws 72 W, so use a 90 W or larger 24V driver and inject power on long runs.
5050 SMD LED strip available in single color, RGB color, RGB color and RGB IC model. Widely used with SMD LED strip and neon LED strip, customized LED strip length and connectors. 5050 LED strip widely used because of its variety and high brightness per LED. Waterproof and non-waterproof both available.
We provide accessories such as silicone end caps, power connectors, silicon mounting clips, Aluminium Profile, soldering free connectors and so on.
