Built for underground lighting

Continuous, driverless lighting for long mine drifts & tunnels

Arraystar high-voltage mining LED strip lights run directly on 200–240V AC without drivers, so a single reel delivers continuous, even lighting for up to 50 metres along a drift, ramp or tunnel. With far fewer power points and connectors than low-voltage strip, installation is faster and there are fewer parts that can fail underground.

Each reel is built for the conditions that break lighting in mines — dripping water, humidity, dust, vibration and unstable mains voltage. A built-in fuse, a constant-temperature protection IC and a patented anti-surge circuit limit heat and help protect workers in flammable environments such as coal and gold mines. The full-silicone body is sealed to IP67 (IP68 on request) and carries a 5-year replacement warranty.

  • 200–240V AC driverless — no power supplies along the run
  • Up to 50 m continuous from one feed, cuttable at marked intervals
  • Fuse + constant-temperature IC + patented anti-surge protection
  • IP67 silicone extrusion (IP68 on request), UV and weather resistant
  • 120 / 144 / 240 LEDs per metre, 1800K–6000K, CRI >80

Safety & reliability

Three protection circuits, one mine-grade strip

Underground drifts cannot afford overheating, surge tripping or frequent replacement. Each high-voltage mining strip is built with three independent protection circuits, then backed by a direct-replacement warranty.

  • Built-in fuse protection on high-voltage mining LED strip

    Built-in fuse

A fuse on the strip limits current if it runs too high during long-term use. Lower current means less heat, protecting the LEDs and extending service life on continuously lit runs.

  • Constant-temperature protection IC on mining LED strip

    Constant-temperature IC

A protection IC holds the strip temperature steady during long operating hours and hot ambient conditions, so it does not overheat — helping protect workers in flammable environments such as coal and gold mines.

  • Patented anti-surge circuit on high-voltage LED strip

    Patented anti-surge

The patented anti-surge circuit handles unstable voltage, lightning and interference from nearby machinery, keeping the line stable and reliable instead of flickering or failing.

  • 5-year warranty high-voltage mining LED strip light

    5-year replacement

The high-voltage mining range carries a 5-year warranty. If a strip has any quality issue within the warranty period, it is replaced with a new product directly.

Where it works

Mining drifts, tunnels & wet underground sections

The same driverless strip is used on walls, roof centrelines, track sides and junction outlines, in both dry and water-bearing ground.

  • High-voltage 220V LED strip lights mounted along both walls of a concrete-lined mine tunnel
Concrete-lined tunnels: continuous wall-to-wall lighting with no dark gaps
  • Cool-white high-voltage LED strip along the roof centreline of a rock mine roadway
Roof centreline: one straight visual guide down the drift
  • High-voltage LED strip fixed low alongside rail tracks in an underground haulage tunnel
Track-side haulage drifts: low mounting beside rails and conveyors
  • Warm-white driverless LED strip following the rock wall of a rough mining tunnel
Rough rock drifts: flexible body follows uneven rock surfaces
  • Flexible high-voltage LED strip along a wet rock wall with standing water reflection
Wet, water-bearing sections: sealed silicone body over standing water
  • LED strip outlining cross-cut junctions and concrete portal frames in an underground mine intersection
Cross-cuts & junctions: outline lighting marks every portal
  • Red warning high-voltage LED strip along both sides of a mine drift for hazard zones
Hazard & emergency zones: red warning runs for danger areas
  • Contractors installing continuous high-voltage LED strip lighting from scaffolding in a large tunnel
Fast installation: long reels fixed by crews from platforms

Why high voltage

Why mines choose 220V driverless strip over low-voltage tape

  • No drivers along the run — it connects directly to 200–240V AC, removing power supplies that fail in dusty, wet tunnels.
  • Up to 50 m from one feed — far fewer joins, cables and power points than 12/24V strip, and no voltage-drop planning every few metres.
  • Full silicone extrusion — sealed to IP67 (IP68 on request), resisting dripping water, humidity, dust and corrosion; UV-stable for portals.
  • Even, continuous light — high-density 2835 packages at 120–240 LEDs/m give uniform roadway and wall illumination.
  • Cuttable & quick to fix — marked cut intervals and 50 m reels let crews mount long lines fast along ribs, arches and channels.
  • Right colour for the task — 1800K amber for low-glare dusty air, 2700–6000K for inspection and task areas.

FAQ

Mining & tunnel high-voltage LED strip questions

What is a driverless 220V high-voltage LED strip, and why use it in mines and tunnels?
A driverless high-voltage strip runs directly on 200–240V AC mains, so no switching power supply has to be installed along the line. In long mine drifts and tunnels, one 50 metre reel can be fed from a single point, with fewer connectors and fewer components exposed to dust and moisture. Installation is faster and there are fewer potential failure points.
How do the fuse and constant-temperature IC improve safety in coal and gold mines?
The built-in fuse limits current if a run is overloaded or damaged, which reduces heat. The constant-temperature protection IC monitors and holds the strip temperature during long operating hours and in hot ambient conditions so the line does not overheat. Together they keep the lighting surface cooler in flammable and explosive environments such as coal and gold mines, helping protect workers.
What does the patented anti-surge protection do?
Underground mains power can fluctuate, and lightning or nearby machinery can induce voltage spikes. The patented anti-surge circuit absorbs these surges so the strip keeps running instead of flickering or failing when the voltage is unstable.
How long can one continuous run be, and do I need a driver?
Up to 50 metres per reel from a single 200–240V AC feed with no driver. The strip is cuttable at marked intervals (for example 12 LEDs per 100 mm on the 240 and 120 models). Longer tunnels are covered by joining reels with the matching connectors.
What IP rating and warranty apply to the mining strip?
Standard production is full-silicone extrusion sealed to IP67, with IP68 available on request for continuously wet or wash-down areas. The high-voltage mining range is covered by a 5-year warranty; if a strip fails within the warranty period it is replaced with a new product.
Which colour temperatures and LED densities are available?
Colour temperature options are 1800K amber, 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 6000K. CRI is greater than 80 standard, with 90/95 on request. Density options are 120, 144 and 240 LEDs per metre using 2835 packages, delivering roughly 1400 to 1860 lumens per metre.
