Product Description
These 0508 solder-free connectors are what I keep on hand for joining narrow 5mm and 8mm COB strips without a soldering iron. The transparent PC clip with copper-alloy contacts clamps straight onto the strip pads, giving a clean, reworkable connection in seconds.
When solder-free wins on site
Soldering dense COB boards on a ladder or inside a cabinet is slow and easy to mess up, and a cold joint is exactly what causes flickering callbacks. A clamp connector opens, seats over the cut pads, and locks down — the copper contacts bite the pads and the clear body lets you visually confirm alignment. It's also re-openable, so correcting a wrong cut doesn't scrap the strip.
