If you need a single COB strip that throws a lot of light without the dotted hotspots you get from normal SMD tape, this 30mm ultra-wide COB is what I'd point you to first. It packs 1,600 LEDs per meter onto a 30mm-wide PCB and runs at 40W/m on 24V DC, so the emitting surface reads as one continuous, even line. CRI is above 90, and you can order it in 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, or 6500K.
The extra width isn't cosmetic. A wider PCB gives the diodes more copper area to spread heat into, which is what lets this strip hold 40W/m and stay stable across a long run. It also gives you a broader emitting face, so the beam fills a wide channel or large cove instead of a thin stripe. If your fixture or aluminum channel is built around a wide light source, this is the version that matches it.
I see this strip specified most often where both brightness and a clean line matter: large cove and perimeter lighting, retail shelf and window displays, hotel lobby and reception features, under-cabinet and workbench runs in commercial kitchens, backlighting for stone and shelving, and architectural linear fixtures built into wide aluminum channels.

Because it runs on 24V, plan to re-feed power roughly every 5 meters to avoid voltage drop at the far end. At 40W/m I always mount it inside an aluminum channel — the channel acts as a heat sink and keeps the LEDs inside their rated temperature. Stick it to a clean, flat surface, and use a 24V driver sized at least 20% above the total wattage of your run.
At 1,600 LEDs/m the chips are packed close enough that the light blends into a continuous line, so in most coves and channels you won't see individual dots. A diffuser still helps for very close viewing.
A full roll draws about 200W (40W/m × 5m). Use a 24V driver rated for at least 240W to leave headroom.
