Flexible COB strips bend around corners. Rigid strips dissipate heat better but cannot bend. For 90% of projects, flexible is right.

The Difference
Flexible uses thin PCB (0.5-1mm) that bends. Rigid uses thick aluminum-backed PCB that does not bend but dissipates heat better.

| Bend radius | 25-35mm | No bend |
| Heat | Good with channel | Excellent |

Frequently Asked Questions
Are rigid COB strips brighter?
Yes, up to 48W/m because the aluminum back acts as heat sink. But you cannot bend them.
