12V strips max out at 5m. 24V strips go to 10m. Beyond that, inject power mid-run. This is the most common LED installation problem.
The Voltage Drop Problem
Every meter of wire has resistance. The longer the run, the more voltage drops, and the dimmer the far end gets. At 12V this happens fast. At 24V it takes twice as long.

The Fixes
- Go 24V instead of 12V
- Inject power at midpoint
- Use thicker wire (16AWG)
- Split long runs into shorter segments
